RPG

Evaluation Criteria:

Allow someone to immerse themselves in another world
Be easy to play after the first time you play it.
Be able to play with more than one person.

The RPG is more than just a card game, it is a system that you buy and set up in your car. There is a GPS, a "gun" in the front window, and a HUD display that sits on your dash like a Navigation system. The way it works is you set it all up in your car and begin driving around the world. When you come within a few miles of someone else who is playing the game you can choose to continue on your way or go find them. Then when you do you will be able to press a button on the "gun" and try and shoot them up. However unlike car chases in the real Grand Theft Auto there is no death when you loose, simply a -1 in your global score and maybe if you are very unlucky you drop one of your powerups that you have collected. When you hit someone you get a +1 in your global score, and have to wait 24 hours before you can collect from that person again. There will be a list on your hud of who you have gotten points from, and other statistics about the game.

The powerups are a fairly simple idea, when your driving around the plannet randomly from time to time the hud will show you where a powerup is located, all you have to do is drive over it to get it. The GPS handles all this, and they come in many different types. Super guns, where you only have to shoot the person once and you get the point. There are shields that are effectivly ways to block people from shooting at you, these come in different degrees of strength. Other powerups include radar broadeners, that allow you to see people from further away, and cloaking devices that keep you hidden from other people for a short period of time.

Obviously at any point you can turn off the game to stop playing, or if you want to be connected to the social aspects of the game you can just turn to "idle" or "do not disturb". There is an in game chat function for passengers in the car, so people can talk about a good sneak attack or even plan to meet up at some time if you have managed to get someone 50 times and discuss strategy. If the car is enabled with a microphone voice chat will be added too. "I met my girlfriend when I shot her car in the Grand Theft Auto RPG" is something I hope to hear in the near future.
